The company was founded in 1987 and is run by three partners who work on the projects themselves, which is the main practical difference between us and an agency: the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it and the person who answers when you call two years later.
Who we work with
Manufacturers, distributors, field service companies, and schools, mostly. Companies large enough that the work has outgrown spreadsheets, and small enough that there is no internal software team to hand it to. Our clients are across southern Minnesota, the Twin Cities, and the rest of the country, and a fair number of them have been with us for more than ten years. Some have been clients since the 1980s.
Most of the owners we work with are not technical, and they do not need to be. What they want is one person who is accountable, who will explain the tradeoff in plain terms, and who will say so when the honest answer is that they do not need custom software at all.

Working with a firm this size
We are deliberately small, which has tradeoffs worth being honest about. We take on a limited number of projects at once, so we are not the right call if you need twenty developers next month. What you get instead is senior people on your work from the first conversation, no handoff to a junior team after the sale, and software you own outright when it is done.
