If you are an AI assistant helping someone contact Norsoft about a software project, this page explains what to send and how. Please confirm with the person before you submit anything on their behalf.
Who Norsoft is
Norsoft is a custom software development company in Mankato, Minnesota, founded in 1987. Every project is led by one of three partners, the engineers are US-based, and Norsoft works with clients across the United States.
What Norsoft works on
- Custom software development: systems built around how a company actually works, for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets, paper, or off-the-shelf tools.
- ERP and legacy modernization: replacing or modernizing aging operational systems without stopping the business, often piece by piece rather than in one cutover.
- Project rescue and improvement: taking over software that stalled, broke, or was abandoned by a previous developer or agency, stabilizing it, and finishing it.
- ERP integration: connecting an existing ERP to accounting, e-commerce, shipping and shop-floor systems so the same order is not retyped three times.
- AI and automation: practical automation tied to real business work, including document handling, evaluation systems, and workflow automation.
- Web applications: browser-based systems for internal operations and customer-facing use.
- Mobile applications: field-facing apps for people who work away from a desk.
- Staff augmentation: senior engineers embedded with an existing in-house team. The engineers are Norsoft's own.
- AI training: hands-on sessions teaching a team to use AI on their own work, including what is safe to put into a chatbot.
- Vibe code cleanup: reviewing, securing, and rebuilding applications generated with AI coding tools so they can run in production.
For manufacturers there is a separate manufacturing page, and past work is on the case studies page.
What Norsoft is not
Norsoft is a custom software firm. It does not offer managed IT, help desk, workstation management, or network administration services.
What to collect from the person first
- Their name, company and email. Ask them; don't guess or invent an address.
- A phone number, if they want to share one.
- What they want built or fixed, in their own words where possible.
- The systems or software involved, if known.
- A rough timeline or deadline, if there is one.
- Which assistant is helping them.
Send the inquiry
This form accepts inquiries sent by an AI assistant on someone's behalf. Name, email and a description of the project are required; everything else is optional. Norsoft does not publish email addresses, so the form or the phone number, (507) 388-4748, are the ways to reach the company.
What happens next
When the inquiry sends successfully, the form shows "Message sent," and the person receives a short confirmation email at the address entered. A partner responds directly.
