This policy covers norsoft.com, the website of Norsoft (Blue Earth Enterprises LLC), Mankato, Minnesota. The short version: we collect what you type into our forms and basic site analytics, we use it to respond to you and improve the site, and we don't sell it to anyone.
What we collect and why
Information you send us. Our forms (contact, newsletter, and free mockup requests) ask for things like your name, company, email, phone number, and a description of what you need. We collect that because you're asking us to respond, and we can't respond without it.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. This involves cookies. It shows us usage patterns, not your identity.
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for security and reliability.
What we do with it
We use form submissions to reply to you, prepare what you asked for (like a mockup), and follow up about your inquiry. If you signed up for the newsletter, we email you the newsletter. That's it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. We don't run third-party ad networks on this site.
Who else touches your data
A few service providers process data on our behalf to make the site work:
- Microsoft Azure hosts the site and its forms.
- Resend delivers the emails our forms generate, including confirmations to you.
- Google Analytics processes usage statistics.
Beyond that, we'd only disclose your information if the law required it, and if that ever happened we'd disclose the minimum required.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form or call (507) 388-4748 and we'll take care of it. Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately.
How long we keep things
We keep form submissions and email correspondence as long as they're useful for responding to you and keeping normal business records. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions travel encrypted, and access to submitted information is limited to the small number of people at Norsoft who actually handle inquiries.
Where data lives
We're a US company and our systems are hosted in the United States. If you're visiting from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the US.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. If we ever changed it in a way that meaningfully affects your information, we'd say so plainly rather than bury it.
